colors and dye lots
Please note that we make every effort to ensure photos that are true to color, but monitors vary. Also, with hand dyes in particular, there is variation from dye lot to dye lot, which is one of the beautiful and unique things about hand dyes. The photos on the site do not necessarily represent the dye lot from which your yarn will come.
If you wish to contact us, we are available via email at email@example.com. You can call us at 773-800-9276 from 10 am – 7 pm C.S.T on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 10 am – 9 pm on Thursdays; 10 am – 5 pm on Saturdays; and 12 pm – 5 pm on Sundays. We are closed on Mondays.

in-store pick up
In-store pick up is available. Please just note that option in the check out. We will let you know when your purchase is ready for pick up. Please allow 2 hours for us to complete your order and note that there may be some delay in this option when orders are placed during our busiest times of the year, or if you have requested that we wind your yarn.
We respect your privacy and do not share or sell any of the information that we receive from our customers.
If you need to return yarn, the yarn must be in its original condition. This means that it must have its original packaging and labels, and be unwound. We give full refunds within 30 days of purchase, and store credit for items returned in the 31-60 days after purchase window. We cannot accept items older than that.

All returned merchandise must be accompanied by:
* original receipt (or a copy thereof)
* customer’s email address
* customer’s phone number
* customer’s shipping address
No refunds will be given for the cost of shipping to or from the store, unless there was an error on our part. We will notify you via email once the return has been accepted.
There are some items that cannot be returned: sale items, patterns, books, magazines and needles/notions. (Exception: needles/notions can be returned if they are defective.)
All shipments must be insured for their full value. Windy Knitty is not responsible for uninsured packages.
We will ship every day that we are open and will fill your order as soon as we are able. If there are any dye lot or back order issues, we will let you know as soon as possible and we will work with you to find a solution that works.
All orders are shipped uninsured. Windy Knitty is not responsible for packages that do not arrive. Please call or email for the cost to insure your order.
We are happy to wind non-sale yarns for you. Please simply note that you would like this service in the comments box in the check out, and which yarns you would like wound. Once yarns are wound, they are not returnable. Please note that unfortunately there are some yarns that are way too slippery to be wound, or that will not travel well once wound. If you have requested that we wind one of those yarns, we will let you know that we are not able to.
